To be or not to be, a writer?

Well I have finally finished Heckamor the Turtle. I wrote this story for all the kids who had problems with certain letters. Sometimes it takes a while for kids to get all the letters down pat, until then it sounds a bit different. Well I wrote this story for all the kids who talk a little different but to me that is special, for each child has a special way of being and should be embraced instead of tinkered with. Well I read this story in a 3 grade classroom and a boy came up to me, I believe he had a speech issue and asked me if he could have the story. Well I thought of it and went home printed it, made a few pictures and stapled it together the best I could and tried to make it a book for him. I was very pleased he loved the story so much. Well when I started working at my daughters high school a tall boy about 6 feet came up to me and asked me if I knew him. Well looking up and seeing a strapping young man, I was so embarrassed to say, "NO!" Well it didn't matter to him, he told me he still had my story. I looked at him and said what story. When he told me it was Heckamor the Turtle I was flabbergasted and defumbled. Woe, he still had the generic book I put together thinking it would last a month or two then be fire starter. This is about 8 or so years later. I was so beholding to him, I just stood there with a humbled look upon my face, grateful and feeling immensely happy he still had the story. What I wished I would of done was ask him his name and so I could dedicate this story to him, for his years of being a Swickle fan. hahahah I am so heartfelt for he loved the story enough to keep safe all these years, I am humbled and so deeply happy, it makes my head spin and my life worth writing, for thoughts and ideas are a writers best friend and for this gentlemen, I thank him forever. I hope my poor writing skills are not seen as bad in my blogs, I would like to just write without the worry of perfection, but I will read it again and make sure it is understandable, NOT hahahahah wow who woke me up and called me funny!
